Great harvest! I need to learn how to grow those like that. I don't have as much land to plant. Not to mention my black thumb.

BAH FUCKING HUMBUG!
My brother told me back in the spring that I should get near 1 pound per foot of plants if they were originally planted about a foot apart.
I also asked him about fertilizing the things, . . . he told me to use the formula of 400 # per acre of 12-12-12 would be just fine.
I did the math, . . . found out that for my 60 ft row, . . . a red Folgers coffee can 30.5 oz size full of fertilizer would be perfect. I took a pop can I cut the top out of and after making a trench about 4 or 5 inches deep, . . . I sprinkled the fertilizer in the trench.
Next I used my foot to shovel about an inch or 1 1/2 inches of dirt on top of the fertilizer, . . . then planted the taters and covered them with about 2 inches of topsoil.
Other than that, . . . all I did was wait until they were about 12 to 15 inches tall, . . . and I hilled em up on both sides.
Last, . . . I kept the weeds killed out until the last few weeks, . . . where it could not make a difference, . . .
Growing taters ain't really hard, . . . just gotta be persistent in what you do.
May God bless,
Dwight
If you can breathe, . . . thank God.
If you can read, . . . thank a teacher.
If you can read in English, . . . thank a veteran.
