    Cheap cast pan? Most of the time I just use olive oil but if your using good cast it should be a problem. Even when my Lodge pan was new eggs didn't stick. Were you stingy on the oil?

    Possibly cheap, I will look at pan brand, but it may have been a Harbor Freight.
    And, I will try with more oil. (olive)

    Vegetable oil has a low burn temp so it quickly burns off so I would say more oil or go with olive oil it has a higher burn temp and will stay longer using less

    A crappy pan will be problematic. Get a Lodge from walmart and don't look back. Or find an old Wagner.

    We have A glass top electric stove,we been cooking on cast iron for a few years!
    bacon & eggs...my favorite!
