Been farting around with stamps and swivel knife. Made 3 sets of coasters and some feather bookmarks.

    Thanks Bronco

Yeah they are getting better for a guy who can't draw stick figures lol!

I did the feather pattern free hand and still needs something for more realism just not sure what yet. Maybe just less swivel knife cuts and some color changes ?

I was wonder why the thread was locked. I'd get some paint and add some color to the feathers, that would help them out a bit. I've heard good things about Angelus paints but I've been using plain old Acrylics from Michael's and they seem to do just fine. Some colors work better than others over dye, Silver is ok and dark colors too but white on a brown dye ends up a mess so if you're going to use light colors you should paint and then dye with a paint brush so the colors stay what they're supposed to be.

Ah yes paints. Kinda briefly thought about paints but wrote off as I have no artistic ability. Maybe I should experiment with some paint and see how bad I do. And then the choice of colors... decisions decisions.

    Nice work.

I've been meaning to make holsters and sheathes from leather or even kydex for at least 8 years.

    I have more stock now.

Yeah I've been waiting to see your leather and tools stash. Winters coming you should dig that stuff out.

Farting around with a basket weave stamp made a harmonica case.
