I know I have eaten the ground beef, will have to step it up...
Like the fact that its only meat and salt.

I have tried several brands of canned ground beef... haven't found one I would rate above maybe 6.5. Certainly Ok in meat sauces, not great but OK... and WAY better than nothing of course. This canned chicken from Costco is always great... I usually keep several cases on hand and rotate them. REALLY good to make burritos. I use them with canned black olives, refried beans, chunky chili, diced tomatoes or green chilis, ... roll 'em up in a fresh tortilla and that's good eating coming from a few cans.

If you are referring to expiration dates, I don't pay much attention. I am currently eating some Kirkland chicken and pulled pork I bought in 2009 and it's just great. Canned foods have been brought up from shipwrecks over 100 years old and still "edible", meaning they wouldn't poison you. Some foods, like canned chili, I notice the beans get softer after 5-6 years... but STILL perfectly edible and taste fine. I of course always check my cans for rust or bloating, as should everyone... and store them properly in a controlled temperature environment. Up in the attic at 120 degrees isn't a good idea LOL. I pack my boxed up cans in shredded newspaper, which absorbs ambient moisture and keeps the cans clean of rust.

Yeah I have been eating some of my rotated stocks which are “out of date” no issues so far. I let some stay past date just to see how they hold up, I have only really been storing since a little before I retired.
If people ever needed to survive on stocked or scrounged goods are they going to check dates and bypass anything not dated correctly?

I found some mild sausage on my back porch from last Sunday. It was bad, and the home still reeks of it.
I have tried the Keystone ground beef and wasn't impressed, but better than nothing. The ChiliMac MRE is GTG though
I have lots of Great Value canned chicken that I use to make chicken salad or to add to expired chicken soups

I just sorted out my food preps. It seems the Keystone can are all almost out of state.
Time to buy more and eat the ones I have
