Rough Rider owners, I got a question

Some of you may know I just bought a Heritage Arms Rough Rider .22

Was wondering if anyone knows if the standard .22 cylinder can be switched out for the magnum cylinder? I know they sell the combo but wondered if I can buy one after market and it'll be compatible.

    Yes -- the cheapest I've seen was on Flea-bay -- about $30.-ish -- I think heritage wanted $50. ?

Yes, unlike a Ruger Single Six, which Ruger says must be returned to the factory for "fitting", the Heritage is a drop in part.

I just bought a 4 & 3/4 barrel Rough Rider that came LR only. I took the magnum cylinder out of my 2004 born 6 & 1/2" and it dropped right in.

And I think Ruger is BS'ing us on the "fittting" part - I have heard others say they drop right in as well.

Maybe Ruger says it for protection from liberals and their love of filing suits, and blaming others for their own mistakes. Like not paying attention to a cylinder they drop in a pistol which may have a crack and it must be the manufacture fault.

    Just tossing thoughts out
