    The inventor is from Finland and came up with the unique design when he needed to clear his land but, due to unstable ground, couldn't get heavy machinery in. He had to chop a lot of wood and wanted a more efficient way to split logs,

    Hmm … I like the gasoline powered splitters, just load and then stack. someone still has to swing this darn thing.

    Yup I order mine split these days. Once upon a time I was the log splitter.
