Canning Beef with a K Bar

Had some fun today, . . . had to can some beef.

Went out in the shop to sharpen my deer scimitar, . . . and a paring knife.

Saw my K Bar in my bug out bag, . . . thought what the heck.

It wasn't as easy as the scimitar, . . . but it did a good job while I used it.

Almost forgot what a good knife it really is.

    May God bless,
    Dwight

They are a great knife, I miss mine it went AWOL about 10 years ago and I haven't replaced it yet. Keep forgetting to talk to my buddy who is still in the corp and see if he can get me an issue one.

Hot Nursey is always telling me I need to use lotion on my hands. Since I'm a man I instead later them up with bacon grease and make sure I get the knuckles really well in case I have to punch one. Works well on hippies too!

Restore & save that one Innkeeper, that's a good price for a good knife.

My Cammilus-made KBar's were sharp enough to slice meat with. That sharpened front end always gave me pause to ponder though, I was leery of it. The knives that I have in my pockets, are sharp enough to cut through a rope; or whatever needs cutting.

Job well done Dwight55 and it was a good post.

Well this thread peaked my interest to try some canning. Never done it myself but grew up with canning and love the outcome.

I have the traditional pressure cooker but also have the Electric pressure cooker xl after doing some checking the Electric pressure cookers are fine for some canning like vegetables and fruits jams and so on but not meat. Good to know here is the link I read.
