My first thought was it would involve someone getting wood.

    I was right!
Keep calm and try setting SCE to AUX.

She wanted a chalkboard on the top part for writing notes and grocery lists. Built it out of nice pine, distressed it to look old and beat up and stained it to the color she wanted (early American). Bought the sliding rail and hardware on Amazon. Its decent stuff and does the trick. A lot of these doors, especially installed by a "professional" will run you $250-$400. I think in total I spent a little over $100. But whatever, HN is happy and loves her new door and I got to play with my tools. A win/win if you ask me.
Awesome job Sasq my boy! That is one great door and I love the dang price!
By the way, Fixed your picture...

Back when we built Slippy Lodge, I spent way too much on my barn door build because I bought expensive Cedar Wood. Plus the door is enormous at 8'2" Tall X 38" Wide.

But I saved on the hardware which is Tractor Supply Galvanized Barn door hardware that might have cost me 30 bucks. But the door material cost me a boat load at the time plus my waste factor sucked! But it looks good thanks to the Kreg Jig!

Actually this was the project I bought it for. And I love it. The thing works great and saves a lot of time.

I got one a while back and have used it a few times. Works great is an understatement.
