My son, Cam19, who you've met, was selected by the Atlanta Youth Hockey League to skate out with the Thrashers on a couple of occassions after warmups and during the playing of the National Anthem. His number was 19 and Kovulchuk's number was 17 so Cam19 got to stand next to Kovulchuk for the Anthem.

Good to see Kovulchuk still playing 18 years or so later!

Sadly Cam19 after playing 2 years at the US Junior level, in the East Coast Juniors, got an invite to try out in the Minnesota Juniors for the Rochester Red Hawks. After witnessing a number of Try Out Newbies get their asses kicked, my son decided to retire from Hockey at the ripe old age of 20! Too funny!

Kovalchuk won the game for the Habs in OT tonight.

I was not at the game. I watched it from the hotel bar, glued to the TV. There is something about watching hockey in a bar in Canada. I cannot explain it. Even if you are not a fan of either team, there is something really really cool about watching a hockey game on a TV in a Canadian bar.

It is a simple meal. About 3/4 pound of Montreal Smoked Meat, Rye bread and hot mustard. If you have not had it, smoked meat is similar to corned beef but a stronger smoke flavor. It is enough to make you do crime! I HAVE to have it at least once when I come to eastern Canada!

This one is about wore out weve been using it for 30 years. Great during the winter and authentic open fire taste.

So tonight I tried Hawgriders pineapple marinate on some large chicken breasts. Marinated about 2 hours and I don't think I have tasted chicken so tender. Had a hint of pineapple but not much I used unsweetened pineapple juice. I didn't use anything else to add flavor as I didn't want to over due it. I'm thinking next time maybe a pineapple glaze to finish it off. Tonight we had a salad and grilled pineapple rings to complete the dinner.

Sounds like it was a success! Excellent!
