Yup I have more #6 than anything.

    I have 200 LBs of 7 1/2 shot, 35 lbs of 4 shot and 5 lbs #4 Buck

I just need primers that fit Federal hulls, they are in S/E MI awaiting delivery

    I have factory 6 shot for the 12 & 20 gauge.

I did the same thing a number of years ago and stocked up on #6 for small critters.

I was in good shape in man/bear/big game killer loads.

    Good luck Sparky!

    EDIT

And added plenty of .410 shells.

Another vote for the #6 shot. Kills well on rodents in the trees or in the briar patch, most tasty flying objects and nobody wants to get shot with a shotgun.....#6's will ruin a invader's day. Different chokes for different folks, but a modified choke will cover most situations.

I get 7 or 7 1/2 (whatever is cheapest at the time) for rabbits and quail. The only reason being is because that is what I used on pheasants when we were in MN. I use 4 for rattlesnakes.

Maybe 12 or so years past, our local Bi-Marts had a final closeout on turkey loads and #6 12 gauge loads... $2-$3 a box. I drove around our four stores and got them all LOL. Probably two dozen or more, still have all of it. I bought a LOT of my current stash at Bi-Mart, because they would commonly use ammo as a leader item. Prices are crazy again.

Nothing has been said/asked about barrels, my 870's 12 and 20, 1100 in 12 and mossberg 12 all wear cylinder choke/slug barrels for the time being. Just easier to handle when things are close.

I was really looking for #4's.
If you can settle for 7 1/2's or 8's Wallyworld has those for $5.00 a box of 25. You can't reload them for that.

My other barrel is rifled , but only has irons, and Remlin didn't do it right, so I couldn't hit a paper plate at 50 yards with any slugs.
BB, they make saddle mounts for the Remingtons & Mossbergs to mount a scope. I have a B Square mount on my Browning A5. It shoots pumpkin ball slugs just dandy with an 18" smooth bore.

I had a B Square mount, but it just didn't seem right. Aimtech has a nice one for $42

I put my slug barrel up on Armslist for $175, and I have tracking on the new barrel.

    So saddle + barrel = $217 and I need a scope

So for $18.12 I get a scope and rings..

    Now I need slugs
