So I Was Going To Run Some Full Battle Rattle Today

Picked up my PC, and forgot about the ACH laying on top

The XL ACH fell from waist level onto right foot instep and big toe area.

Of course I was stocking footed.

I'll be reconsidering the layout of my SHTF Kit, since that can ruin your chances in the wild.

Anyway the water in the Armorback needs changing, and after that I'll see if I can get a boot on

This sounds bad, but it is probably good that it dropped on your foot rather than the floor.

Drop them on a hard surface and it creates micro-cracks, destroying the armor; this applies to all ceramic armor.

My battle rattle doesn't have a helmet with it, just personal preference on my side.
"Every personís life is theirs by right. An individualís life can and must belong only to himself, not to any society or community, or he is then but a slave. No one can deny another person their right to their life, nor seize by force what is produced by someone else, because that is stealing their means to sustain their life. It is treason against mankind to hold a knife to a manís throat and dictate how he must live his life."

Floor is 50 year old particle board that isn't as hard as it was in 1970.

I can't sit down in my vehicle with all the extra stuff on my battle belt. I slimming down the whole profile, moving stuff off the back.

Found out I need to slim my body profile down also. The belt and cummerbund both are a little snug. I think I'll call it the COVID 19 lbs. +

Never hurts to try you gear before you need it.

And what lesson did we learn from this experience?
My retirement plan is: Civilization will probably crumble before I'm 65 and money will be meaningless anyway.

Oh I'm fine as frog hair.

I won't store the helmet on top of my PC, and need to lose weight.

I loved my steel pot I could shave in it, bathe in it, cook and still use it to save my brain pan.

    To a certain extent . . . I'm with ya . . .

Got one sitting on my "rattle battle" shelf in the closet . . .

Take it down every now and then . . . hold it a minute . . . remembering . . . then put it back up there.

The big hope is I never "have to" don it again.

    May God bless,
    Dwight

I've never had to wear my ACH for battle, and never want to.
