BREAKING: CZ In Late Stage Talks to Acquire Colt

Apparently struggling since emerging from bankruptcy in 2016, Colt has likely drawn the eye of potential buyers ever since. Now, thanks to CZ (Česká zbrojovka) parent company CZ Group’s public filings, we know it is attempting to purchase all of Colt’s Manufacturing Company‘s assets and is well along in this process.

Why would CZ want to bother with buying Colt? Sounds like a lot more trouble than it would be worth and CZ already has loads of fantastic guns. The biggest difficulty with CZ is finding one in stock a lot of the time.

Probably for the rights to the SAA, the 1911 and the Python, and of course the Name. It's been around a LONG time.

Kind of a bummer too bad they screwed up the company. Colts from here on out will not be the same to me.

On the flip side the price of my original colts just went up!

Too bad an American company wouldn't consider it like Kahr or Henry, neither produce revolvers and that would open up an even greater market for them..

The Kahr revolvers would come with "Moonie" clips.
