    Small Victories

Mrs Inor has wanted me to build a small bookcase for her cookbooks for a while. Although it seems like a simple request, this one was a bit tricky because the back of it shows in the living room. So I needed to come up with something that would not show a bunch of gaps when the humidity changes with the seasons. I finally figured out how I wanted to do it and got it built. The inlay on the top and bottom match the inlay I did on the kitchen cabinets, so it matches the rest of the woodwork in the kitchen pretty well.

She could not decide what species of wood she wanted for the top, so I made it from all of them.

That effort is definitely 8 or 10 steps above my woodworking paygrade.

Looks great . . . figure she loved it.

    May God bless,

Nicely done! I like the multi-wood top. Gives it character.
