    Just Got THe 500 lb Pig Filled with propane sticker shock

    333 gallons came to $619 with fees at $1.709 per That's why I prepaid for the season, driver said it's $4 - $5 a gallon depending on the plan you have now.

    I just paid 3.41 / gallon, my 500 tank is leased, so I am sure I am paying more than average. No prepay either.

    My tank has been leased since 1978 here.

    The drive also said to clear the snow off the tank to allow the LPG to warm up and flow better, which makes appliances run better

    But if it is hell-below-zero, doesn't the snow cover act as thermal insulation?
