Met a guy who makes Gin with fermented black garlic and tried some straight up and wow is it good! This stuff is perfect for bloody Mary's.
So since Im relatively cheap decent gin is expensive so I decided to try it with Vodka. I took a 5th of Smirnoff and 2 cloves of fermented black garlic. Mashed up the garlic a bit with a fork and poured it and the Vodka into a quart jar.
I let it set about 2 weeks.
Then I added about a teaspoon of Malabar whole peppercorn that I bumped a couple times in the spice grinder and let that soak in the booze for 2 days. Strained the garlic and the pepper out and poured it back in the Smirnoff bottle.
The bottle on the right is the guys Gin that I was able to obtain but it wasn't cheap. My Vodka turned out so well I'll be making it this way from now on for bloody Mary's kicked up to the next level! I enjoy this concoction straight as a sipper too its the most unique booze I've ever tasted.
