A Buck will last you your whole life, a sweet knife. I've been wanting one too LOL. Be sure to use the sheath and not your pocket... no safety on these. And unlike cheapo switchblades opening in your packet, this could take your junk with it.

There is a Hardware store just down the road a piece from MG and I called Motts. Their claim to fame is a very large collection of Buck knives for sale. They claim to be the largest in Texas. I don't know, one whole half of the store is filled with nothing but cases of knives. I have yet to roam freely among them as I have had more pressing needs when we were there, but one day..............................

Wow! You and MG should make a nice afternoon of it there together. Just bring some cash, and leave all bank cards home... or you'll walk out of there needing a cart LOL.

Funny about different state laws. The Federal law banned their import, and the transferring across state lines in the Switchblade act of 1958. We got around that by following one of the exceptions in the act: being "bona fide" dealers to law enforcement and military personnel, units, departments, and agencies. We required a photocopy agency, military, or department ID.

Similar things would occur at the Soldier of Fortune show in Vegas every year. Agents there surrounded by all sorts of class III weapons, and their panties all in a twist over switchblades LOL.

The individual states made their own crazy laws. Here in Oregon, you can manufacture them, buy them, sell them, and collect them... just not carry it LOL.

My cousin was a rebel, leather motorcycle jacket, engineer boots, Oilzum cap, jeans,

(which were not allowed in our schools)and his switchblade knife,

What made him look real tough was his scarred up face from going through the windshield of his 1949 Ford.

Told everyone the scars were from knife fighting and that he won every fight!

The Marines straightened him out, got out of the marines and used the GI bill to get an education,

he had the facial scars removed with plastic surgery, I did not recognize him after the surgery, looked normal.

Became an engineer in charge of maintenance for Northrup Aircraft facilities, he did marry the Northrup vice presidents daughter.

I wont discuss my dealings with SOF people, Peter Kocalis and Col. Brown a few decades ago. that is another story.

You may not realize this, lived a lot of this shit first hand back in the 70's 80's and 90s

Small world eh? My little brother is retired from Northrup, as I likely mentioned before, but still consults. He has a degree in physics, but worked mostly as an engineer...he developed optics for the military satellites.

Wow! OK, one of you scoot over, I'm coming along too.

I used to do the OKCA knife show in Eugene every year... biggest knife show west of the Rockies. Huge. At that yearly 3 day show, I would make thousands in sales. The trick is leaving the show with the money LOL. I usually bought at least one knife for myself... and I had expensive tastes. A Vallotton custom made switchblade could set you back 3 grand back then. I tried to stay away from their table.
