    Things are coming right along!

The tinctures made from all 10 herbs/roots/barks won't be ready until the first of March - so in the meantime, I crafted up two remedies for PO.

For his high blood pressure: twice a day he drinks 6oz of a tea made with Hawthorn leaf (heart health/hbp), Tulsi leaf (reduces hbp); with Echinacea leaf (overall health & acts as catalyst for the hawthorn&tulsi) added to the morning brew, and Catnip (sedative) added to the evening dose.

For his inflammation caused pain: I made a syrup with 1.5 cups of *berries, 3.5 cups filtered water, medicinal quantities of ginger, cloves, Ceylon cinamon & cayenne reduced down to half, strained and a cup of raw honey added. I funnel it into those nice green bottles PO provided - and he takes a good swig 3x a day.

*berries: I'm using up the blueberries in the freezer - until the ordered elderberries arrive.

He's been doing the pain swigs now for just over 2 weeks, and the hbp tea for 5 days... and so far it hasn't killed him.

For real, I can feel the difference, but sometimes that Catnip makes me want to claw up the couch and climb the drapes.

Love the inflammation tonic. Maybe add some turmeric?

I am the poster child of Osteo Arthritis.

One of my orthopedic docs actually asked me if I had been in a real bad accident where multiple bones were broken or if I was a stuntman by trade.

I've learned to hide it pretty well by keeping my weight down (somewhat) and taking lots of natural anti-inflammatory shit. My pain tolerance is pretty high but that is a two edged sword as part of my problems exist because of "working thru the pain".

Same with multiple years of taking cortisone shots and abusing ibuprofen and other meds; a two edged sword.

They reduce inflammation/take away the pain but the damage is still there. I don't walk with a limp but I do have a very hi-tech ankle and foot brace/boot that I use when its real bad.

But when I finally get home to my couch and footrest, it is like HEAVEN just to take my boots off and put my legs up for a rest.

Note to youngsters, take care of yourself!

Thanks! And yeppers on the turmeric - I've already got some root working in a tincture. As I adjust potency levels between now and when it's ready, I'll powder some of the granules up and add it to the syrup. Small increments upwards as PO adapts; don't wanna kill him too quickly, ya know.

Lord knows I have been known to piss the women in my life off. I have a special talent, or so I have been told.

This one is one of only two I ever really trusted and one of the most caring and compassionate women I have ever met. She came into my life at the perfect moment. I couldn't ask for better.

Still, she keeps asking me if my life insurance is paid up.......and...........................I have overheard whispered phone conversations between her and a guy named Guido the enforcer. But I 'm sure it's nothing.

My thoughts are that humans existed /survived disease, etc before big pharma with what He provided for us. Didn't realize it, but, kinda big on natural remedies. Really don't care for all the additives that are put in stuff nowadays.

Not medicine, but what was the first guy thinking who saw coffee beans, that look like rabbit shit, and thought hey, these might taste good? Just some of the stupid shit I wonder about, how did we as a species make it this far?
