Not until the Sun was over the Yardarm as is the custom of us social imbiders. My mean big Brother the swabbie taught me all about it.

Would like to be able to make it go using an Ego brand 56 volt lithium battery as goes on my leaf blower and weed eater I already have a couple of those batteries. I think it needs some kind of converter gizmo to make it worky right on a 48 volt motor but not sure what is it exactly and where to get one. Was thinkin Inor or some other super smart person might know? Thanks.
For the controller, I would look at something like this:

    https://www.amazon.com/24V-36V-Contr...37029430&psc=1

Depending on how much experimenting you want to do, you could just buy the motor already premade for an electric bike. Or if you do not mind spending the time to fart around with it, a car alternator can be made into a motor pretty easily. Chrysler and GM alternators are pretty easy to reconfigure, just remove the voltage regulator. Then you will also need a volt-ohm meter to figure out what the configuration of the windings are (star configuration or whatever, etc.). Once you have that worked out, wiring it up to the controller is easy.

For batteries... The cheapest way to go is to collect a bunch of 18650 cells from old laptops, cordless tools, etc. If you know a handicapped person that you do not like, their electric wheelchair or those electric Walmart carts for the fat people generally have about 48 18650 cells in them. Steal a couple of those and you'll be farting through silk! Those have the added benefit of usually being very high quality cells.

Came across this conversion the other day, back in the day used to ride one that was belt drive, pulley under spring tension for a clutch, kind of a gnarly lookin thing.

Thanks. One of my old pals keeps recommending a gas motor but I sure like the idea of electric. Anything to help Biden and Kerry get the climate under control. lol
