Looking for advice on a new truck.

I have hauled a lot of US made parts for Toyota most of that country's steel is on our soil.

I'm pretty sure most of the parts are made overseas. They just get "assembled" here.

We had trouble getting parts for a while because dock workers in Cali were having a strike. We had tons of stuff on backorder. For those that live in Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Mississippi, this 5 state area is under Gulf State Toyota. It's the only privately owned Toyota region in the US. The other regions are owned by Toyota. Most parts for domestic vehicles are made in either Mexico or Canada. Very little made in the US.

Finally, a year after starting this thread, I ordered my new truck today. It will be assembled in Ohio, and should arrive in South Florida in about eight weeks.

Lol. Laser blue, extra cab, z71, with the big v6 engine. As soon as I get it, it's getting a spray in bed liner. Looking at a lift kit and tires in about a year.
