Dogs track you by sniffing out the dead flakes of skin and odor that you leave every place you go. There is nothing you can use to hide your trail. They can pick your particular scent out of a thousand people.
The best way do get away from dogs is to climb a tree and then travel from one tree to another down wind. It won't stop them but it will confuse them for a bit.
