I don't desire cigarettes .. but I can see myself liking a good cigar. However, I will never test that theory. You know the old saying .... "I am one puff away from a pack a day".
Glad to hear you kicked the habit. We need more Patriots around. Maybe we can figure out a way to get all the progressives to take up smoking?

My selection for this evening is a Rocky Patel catch 22. A less expensive RP but still a smooth draw and good flavor. Goes well with my Stone IPA.

I haven't seen that one before I'll have to look for one and try it.

Had this one last night. Other than the metal band it wasn't anything special. Tasted a bit better farther into it but was difficult to smoke. Feel free to pass on this if you cross its path

This thread is motivating me to pick back up the Cee-Gar hobby. I stopped for no reason a few years ago. Maybe it was the vague recollection of Mrs Slippy pushing me away as I attempted an open mouth smooch...and her saying that I smelled like a Nasty Assed Smoke Filled Brewery or some such nonsense...

Anyway, I may buy me a good cigar for our summer trip to the mountains. Its just too freakin' hot to light anything up here at Slippy Lodge, freakin' summertime is here and she is pissed!

On a side note, does anyone put stock in the Cigar Aficionado Top 25 lists?

Yes I used to follow that list. Its a good reference to watch and see whats what for the year. I find the ratings helpful in finding a good smoke. Low 90's to mid 90's almost always guarantee a satisfying smoke.

I've been pleased with just about every Romeo y Julieta I've ever tried. Alas since I quit smoking I can only allow myself one a year on the anniversary of a friends death.
