I still have the side panels for the Bronco that I was going to install.

They are right behind the shop, came from JC Whitney.

Those things suffered from severe rot, from road salt.

That was plural, we have two of them, We each have had two each in the last 15 and 25 years.

Myself, the first I gave to my daughter right after she got her drivers license, that makes 3 total for me.

I found the thorned blackberry bushes last night cleaning up the garden for roto tilling, bought 6 pyrex bowls for $5, and heading to the grandsons to clean out a shed full of like new stuff / junk.

Rakes, shovels, dog eared fence boards and cinder blocks ( shelves for apt ), bar stools from what I spotted from 50'.

My Grand Cherokee is a 2008, bought new,, have done repair work on it, but still going strong, 112,000 miles on it.

That's some seriously low mileage for a 2008. Here that would have been a pile of rust flakes by now.

I want to say the van was at around 160k, but had scars from my wife driving it, and the interior was trashed from three rugrats. Drive train was fine, but I wanted an upgrade to something not destroyed by the rest of the clan.

100% agree about the rust. My '12 F-350 that I bought new is getting rust pretty bad already. It's got over 190K on the clock, and I do plow snow with it.

I am going to be cradle to grave on this truck, and same with our '18 Edge.

Not sure if I will buy a new truck after this one dies, for what they get for a truck I can buy a new CNC that will actually make me money.

Yeah, don't drive much anywhere, just the essential trips, markets, doctors.

No desire to go on trips, did plenty of that at a younger age.

Depending on where they spent their life, a vintage truck can be rotted out under there. Mine came from San Diego, and was remarkably rust free.
