    This for the win!^^^^^

I'd wager that WW2 was a pretty good example of this. Allies and especially the US threw a lot of men and equipment at the Nat-zees and Japs. Lots and lots of men and steel.

2 really fucking big ordnances on Jap-Land sealed the deal

That's right, we outspent and outproduced Germany and Japan, which is why neither of them really wanted us in the fight. Italy was a pretty much a non factor. Could we do that again given today's youth, the woke military, and the current industrial might. I don't think so.

We don’t have the mills to produce steel. And we don’t have machinery or factories here anymore. Hell! We don’t have the machines necessary to produce machines to fill the factories. And where are you gonna find machinists today?

Do I have to revive the "Show us your Shop" thread?!?!

    Unfortunately I don't think I could support a war single-handedly.

Maybe I should start the "T-Man 1066's School Of Machining And Beer Consumption".

Lesson 1: Crack a cold one.

    Lesson 2: Count your fingers.

Lesson 3: When you can't come up with 10, either you just lost one in a machine, or you're too drunk to count to 10!

When I needed to do some shaping. I'd go to lunch, couple beers and a smoke to smooth my nerves. Then turn up the walkman to hide the whine of the knives

Can't find the quote of who said it, very few problems that can't be solved with a suitable amount of explosives. Stormin Norman maybe?

And who would you get to fight? You think the youth of today's America will stand and fight. Sad to say, I think not.
