I bought a Mossy Oak "Break Up" t-shirt today; and I will have 9 miles of walking done, before I lay down and sleep.

I walked another 12+ miles on Saturday, I just went nuts; I ended up at Joe's Creek Park, and then I walked around the path there. I had 2 big blisters on Sunday, which I lanced. I can't believe that I did it, but I did; plus I picked up a DVD/VCR player, at a yard sale; close to Joe's Creek, and then toted it home.
Note: I put this on another forum, and all I got was silence; I don't think that they believe me. If they keep doubting me, they are history.
I proudly come in second when I am doing math, but I tend to come in first when I do hard exercise.
There aren't many 63 year old fat boy's who can walk 10+ miles.
My ultimate feat will be to walk to Wagon Wheel Flea Market; and that will be a serious undertaking.

I haven't been walking much, but I've been humping 1000 to 2000 boards a day for 2 months @ 10 hours a day. I'm going on 61 also
I know I can walk 2 miles in 45 minutes in full kit though.

I am, I put in another 8 miles a few days ago.
I does what I can, and then I collapse into my recliner, and wake up 4 hours later.
Humping that many boards is a job, and your exercise is taking care of itself. Not many 61 year old's can even attempt that, I know that I could not do it.
What do you consider full kit, how many pounds?
I may start rucking again myself, with an old duffel bag and 50 pounds of stuff in it. [Or maybe 10 pounds of stuff, I ain't what I used to be.]
Thanks Slippy, I am going to keep it up, because I think the Grim Reaper has his crummy paws on my heart, I am having some symptoms that are scary.
And walking is all I know to do to strengthen myself.
I have busted 3 bikes, over the last 5 years. I stripped the drive trains, or broke the axles on all of them, because my legs are still really strong.

I followed the stories about the blackout in Manhattan, and others afterwards on Staten Island. I am now in a high heat warning through Sunday night that will definitely put a strain on the grid. So I made an investment on some piece of mind.

I need a 8500 run. So I can fire up my central air.
