    Update on my Bk2 survival kit.
    Its all put together and you can see just how much stuff can be gotten into a Altoids box

    Side note Hawg an found out when drilling a lanyard hole in a ferrous rod go slow an maybe use oil cause um well yeah think Sparkler shower.

    being right handed my gun holster is in the way for either style of carry which is what made me want to try horizontal.

    I know this is an older thread. Did you ever get the black coating off that knife? I use a product called Jasco adhesive remover. All you have to do is spray it on, and leave it for a few minutes. The coating will pretty much bubble off. That will make the knife one hell of a fire steel striker.

    I left it on for multiple reasons one being the extra barrier of corrosion protection. I have multiple items and knives in my packs that I would use for fire striker over this knife.
    I have seen some done and with new handles they look sweet.
