    Wild Cherry Tree

Planted a new cherry tree this year and it had a lot of blooms. I ended up with about 1/3 lb of cherries after pitting it was early. My older tree doesn't have as many and hasn't ripened yet. Today while mowing the grass I look up and find a wild cherry tree loaded with cherries. Never noticed the tree before it sits in behind some scrubs. It appears to be ready to pick. There not huge cherries but I think I can get enough to make a couple of pies. Anyone every use wild cherries to make a pie? I'm sure there sour as I tasted one but not sure it was at completely ripe.

Clear out the scrubs/shrubs to give the tree more sunlight.... and give it a pruning. It'll surprise you on next years yield.

Wild cherries around here are usually full of worms. I don't know if that's a problem where you are.

whats funny is that I really knew a chick who name was going to be wild cherry until her parents under stood that was making a future stripper by doing so.
my mother wanted to name me "dallas" yes dallas smith was going to be my name until my father said NOPE! when my mother told me about that years ago my father said he was not going to raise a gay porn star.
days go bye that I can not understand how the hell did that marriage workd with 2 people more far apart then Madonna's legs

there is some form of a wild cherry tree next to the irrigation ditch, up the street from my house, BUT, as soon as they get ripe, the birds take a bite out of every damn one they can find.
Not my tree, its in the street side of the ditch. The kids always get at least a handful.
You will never be forgotten. RIP Corporal Bradley Coy (USMC)
