    Berries

Ok I have this tree in my backyard I have been curious about since I bought the place 3 years ago. What interested me was the berries are orange when they are ripe. I have found through research that it is a European Mountain Ash, everything I read says they are good for eating, jams, pies etc. But I have no idea or recipes on how to use them.

    Anybody no anything?

Mountain ash...it's a beautiful tree. I didn't know the berries were edible. I have 2 berry producing trees in my backyard I can't identify.

This one is European Mountain Ash, edible. There is an American Mountain Ash the berries can be eaten in smaller quantities. Northern Mountain Ash, their berries can be toxic, especially to children. SO it is important in these three types from my studies to be certain which it is.
