I saw a blurb about this on one of the news stations. Hope you and yours are safe T-Man 1066. See if you can find out more about their containment systems. Here on the gulf coast we have a lot of refineries and occasionally they go boom. It's all about the containment systems as far as groundwater contamination goes. I would have my well tested for sure but I am betting it will be ok.

I sure hope so. They did contract some industrial hazard group from Louisiana to dig ditches and work on watershed containment. They have bank to bank containment buoys at multiple points along the river. It is still burning, about 60 hrs at this point.

    Only time will tell.

And thanks for the concern and well wishes. Its better to watch on a YT video than watch several hundred foot fireballs from your backyard. Just sayin...

Talked to my bud, he's about 7 miles away and the wind is pushing the smoke south and west so he feels he's OK. Private well so he should be good to go.

They're telling folks to wear a mask, what a joke! Then in almost the same breath say the air quality is not affected.!? How the hell could it not be.

Exactly! Thought the same thing. "Ground level air quality is perfectly fine, but wear a mask within a 3 mile radius".

Well I got 2 words for you, and they ain't Happy Birthday!
