What was your prep of the day?

Always thought it would be nice to have land next to Fed national forest or the like. Save me on paying full property tax. Talked with my bud who lives outdide of Beloit, complains he pays $2k on property tax, He's got 20 acres, I pay the same for a stupid lot in town.

Received my PORTAWELL system with a large supply of extra filters. I already have 2 pounds of pure bleach chemical (calcium hypochlorite) to mix up a bleach solution. I also have a good supply of berkey filters. I’m very confident I have my safe drinking water bases covered. Sanitation seems covered too since my sewer piping is all down hill from me to the treatment plant and river. Now to get a few extra solar panels into storage. The tax refund should cover that prep.

I never get any messages. I'm fine with that, actually a good thing that's why I prep/keep stock, less time I have to spend out and about being around people.

I did not. It was closed around the time I enlisted. Focus diverted from the jungles of Vietnam to the forests of Germany.

When I was in, it was the reverse, going from the Fulda Gap to the SEA jungles.

Same enemies', just plain red.

Now it is coming coming around to the Hurtgen forest area again, slow but sure, if Pukin doesn't completely run out of tanks.

They are pulling T-54's out of the boneyard to fight, 70 year old tanks!

Best beware though, they are still a tracked gun platform, old cheap junk to suck up expensive AT munitions.

Back then we had 106RR's, M-48 tanks, and TOW's.

People say the Russians are getting desperate using their old tanks and equipment. I think the Russians are bleeding the Ukrainians dry (and us) using old equipment. It has always been a tactic of the Russians to throw men and material into the battle grinding the enemy down till they have no more left to throw in the fight. Perhaps not the most brilliant tactic, but effective.

There are a few decent documentaries I have seen on YT, called War Factories. The first country to run out of men or equipment looses the war.
