From all accounts the Vortex Strikefire II Red Dot Sight is a solid optic. The battery life is pretty low compared to other red dot sights.

Battery life is important to me, I don't want to need it and the damn battery be dead.

Also, having the "shake to wake" function on a red dot is important. Ready when you need it.

I went with Holosun HS512C for my newest 9mm braced pistol. Arrives tomorrow so I'll review over the weekend.

That's the best price I've seen so far, when ever I see one it seems like they were touching the $300 number or more, Hmmm.

I'm a readaholic and this is a good article I read on it a while ago.

A customer brought in his Hellcat . . . optic equipped . . . with laser on the front as well

He wanted a cross draw holster for it.

I made it . . . plus his battery was dead . . . took it to the LGS . . . they replaced the old one.

I would remove the optic . . . take the first 10 bucks someone offered me for it . . .

Anyone using it in a gunfight . . . will probably be shot multiple times while this dude is trying to find the red dot.

But . . . different strokes for different folks . . . this is not for me.

As for the Hellcat itself . . . would trade my S&W Shield for it in a heartbeat. The Shield does not fit my hand like I would like it to . . . Hellcat does and then some. I would definitely do the laser . . . my finger hits that red button totally naturally . . .

    Not sure of the capacity . . . with that mag I believe it is 12 + 1 . . .

It would be my first semi auto without a safety . . . and there would be a training session or 4 there for that.

    May God bless,
    Dwight

If you can breathe, . . . thank God.

If you can read, . . . thank a teacher.

If you can read in English, . . . thank a veteran.

    I've never been in a gunfight...but if I'm at Slippy Lodge and a Close Quarter Battle (0-25 yards) ensues, if given the choice, this is it;
