Did a fire extinguisher check. All were in the green, but I bought another one anyway to be placed in the odd bedroom. I saw an article that reinforced the idea that past rioters used fire as a weapon pretty often. I also prepositioned a connected garden hose and rack in the basement. Just grab the nozzle end, open the water valve, and run to the room on fire. I have a small house so the collapsible hose can reach anywhere inside. I also have a similar setup in the garage for any outside fire. Garden hoses don’t put out much water, but they are better than nothing.

Also more range time. All toys function checked, re-zeroed, and throughly cleaned.
All desiccant packs recharged in the oven and returned to their respective storage containers.
Cleaned and lubed 2 fishing reels and respooled with new braided line in case fishing becomes necessary.
    The world needs assholes too

Doesn't warrant a separate thread but want to share this ~

I bad scalded the tops of my middle 3 fingers right hand this morning (tea kettle failure), much pain, very nominal blistering. Held under cold water for a few minutes, then PO sprayed Burn Pain Relief (.05 lidocaine) and it helped for about 15 min and then the pain came back worse than ever. Wailing, crying, pain. I then realized that as the Burn spray did its thing, it also 'sealed' the skin, to keep out infection sure, but it also kept in my normal body heat and I wanted it gone!! so I filled a bowl with cool water and plunged my hand in it and within seconds - all pain was gone. Like, gone. I gently rubbed the burn spray off my fingers, took my hand out of the bowl, patted dry, and the pain didn't return. Now, 8 hrs later, as long as I avoid all heat near my hand my fingers don't hurt, still tender to the touch but that's all. Even the blistering went down.

Just wanted to pass this along...in case it happens to you. Cold is your friend.

Many years ago, I was welding in a roll cage for a Rockford Speedway Road-Runner. I ended up grabbed on a bar right where I had been welding when I stood up, there may have been alcohol involved... ?!?!

Anyways, burned the crap out of my hand, so I rotated about 3 beers in the freezer, holding them in the burnt hand helped alot. Once the can started to warm up, I would swap out for another can from the freezer.

That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

For the record, they used to bolt a sprint car style wing on the roof, called it "Winged Women on Wheels". The guy I did the cage for, his wife won the season championship in the mid 90's. Actually got a compliment from one of the tech inspectors. This was back in the day when they specified you can't build racecars out of fence posts and swing sets.... 100% true!

Also, for the record, racecar spelt backwards is still racecar!

Well, got the new shed painted and the back window installed. A friend of ours had the window on hand and he gave it to us free. I am moving the more needed items to this shed. I am still considering putting the gen set in it now that it has plenty of ventilation and it's a 10x16 so plenty of room. My power cord will reach the Auto transfer switch from there. I am thinking it will be less noise and well out of site. I have the propane tanks already stored in it and I am thinking of installing a larger propane tank, maybe a 250 so we have a longer run time. I am still thinking on it and still organizing it. Lot of work to do.
