Peanut butter whiskey.

It sounds disgusting, but they had free taste tests at my local liquor store and it is surprisingly good.

It is somewhat sweet and it tastes like a Reeses so it means you're not downing it, but that makes it good to sip while smoking.

Liquor licenses suspended at 3 West Michigan businesses for executive order violations

https://www.mlive.com/news/grand-rapids/2020/09/liquor-licenses-suspended-at-3-west-michigan-businesses-for-executive-order-violations.htmlSounds to me like she is just using this to fish for money. They are just stealing money from the people in the way of fines. This is basically the protection racket run by gangsters. Which is all Whitmer is, a petty tyrant and criminal.

i made apple skin crown royal cocktail

taken apple skins with cloves small small piece of a cinnamon stick and small piece of orange zest
let it hang for 2 days in frig with green apple crown royal
afterwards i mixed crown with brown sugar and soda water

it kind felt like a winecooler and a soda pop made a baby

feel it was not worth the time to make

next one i will try to honky rig will be a smoky bourbon tea cocktail

but that will wait least a few weeks and make a small batch, this crown i made too much and i can only handle 1 drink every few days with out getting gout attack

like to report my smoke tea'ish thingy

I i grilled half a lemon/ half of a orange which i cut into 4, beside coal i used cherry wood to add smoke
i afterword i zest the lemon and peeled it, i placed the unpeeled lemon sliced / zest into a jar with about 1 cup of bourbon and placed in corner of my kitchen and kept it there for 2 days at room temp

today i made strong 3 bags of plan black tea to 2 cups of water and i let it seep for about 30 mins, then i squeezed the bags
now i mixed it all together with 1 tablespoon of sugar.
i did reheat it

note: this was not bad once so ever and dose fit in with a fall cocktail
also i did not use must of the orange / lemon once so ever, so the rest of it went into the grilled chicken i made that day.

it needed something but i dont know what, so changes i think i would have made would been to add cloves and maybe used something other then bourbon

this was good and it would be great to have during the later days of fall with a fire

i give this a 6.5 out of 10

like to add, grilled lemon and oranges taste good when put over italian chicken

EDIT: only the 1 side got grilled and that where it was cut in half
i did not want the zest charred due to i will be using it
i also zest it because the white part of the lemon/orange can be very bitter

EDIT TO CORRECT
Jeopardy moment...
When you go to Trader Joes and buy Charles Shaw Wine (3 Buck Chuck)...
You are buying Franzia in a bottle.

EDIT TO CORRECT
Found that that is incorrect....
Franzia was purchased by Coca-Cola in the 70's (sold again later).

Was going to buy some of that... but...when I got it to the counter...
The guy had a half full case of Blantons..... Bought one of those instead.
More than 4x the cost.... but..... I am weak......
Went back the next day to get the Beam anyway.... and saw this:
12945
12946
Wanted the shaker..... they are $20 on line and the box set was $29.....
MM is $29 anyway... so minus the shaker it was only $9.
Still don't have the "Repeal"

Supposedly, the extended drip on the neck makes it worth more to a collector.
Don't know how much..... I guess there are "Slam Dunk" bottles where the wax extends past the "Shoulders" that are prized.
I just want the inside.

Us old seasoned citizens are acting nice and chilling on equal parts of Franzia Chliiable Red in the Box and super healthy ho made ginger wine. A smart person might want to say its ginger ale..but since its carbonated using white wine yeast and not ale yeast..I dont see why it cant be called wine. It has a miniscule touch of alcohol in it so the buzz must be from from the wine and Gorilla Glue.

A Kentucky whiskey was just named Best Bourbon in the World. Here’s how to buy it.

Brace yourselves, bourbon fans: A Kentucky whiskey that was named the 2021 Best Bourbon in the World at the end of March is coming to store shelves, along with one of the most-sought after annual releases.

Buffalo Trace Distillery announced on Wednesday that the whiskey made through an interactive project called “Craft Your Perfect Bourbon” will be available this month. The C.Y.P.B. is a version of Buffalo Trace’s popular Weller, selected by drinkers who were asked to choose their ideal bourbon. It’s aged for eight years and bottled at 95 proof.

The Weller C.Y.P.B. recently won Best Bourbon in the World from the World Whiskies Awards and won a Silver Medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

“The nose is punchy with complex floral and fruity notes,” according to the judges. “The palate follows on with rich fruits, including figs and raisins, paired down with some subtle vanilla warmth. There’s some bold rye spice that is met with brown sugar on the finish. It’s delicious and well balanced.”

The question is, why does Whiskey numb my tooth better than Vodka ?

I knew a guy in the Guard that said an almost identical phrase, said it after I asked if he drank too much,

had booze in his canteen instead of water.

About a year or so later he crashed head on into oncoming traffic,

killed a mother and young daughter, he survived.

He did go to prison for about 10 years for it, probably served three in this libtard state.

He was driving after revocation for drunk driving.

Never saw him after they kicked him out of the guard for the drinking.

He made the front page for the incident, that I saw.

You just brought that back into my conscious memory, was 50+ years ago.

Michigan liquor supply could face delays, state warns

Rising cases of the Omicron variant are affecting staffing at Michigan’s liquor distribution centers, according to the Michigan Liquor Control Commission.

The MLCC advised licensees to order larger quantities and space out orders to help ease the burden of staff shortages. Rather than ordering split cases, which are more labor intensive to put together, the MLCC advises to order full cases every two to three weeks.

Wanted to thank your post but that seems like it brought back bad memories.

Thanks, it does not affect me much today, after 20 years of investigating un-attended deaths, suicides,

drownings and MV accidents, plus prior experience, none of it bothers me much today.

Somehow or other, your mind puts up a shield to protect itself.

Several times long ago, I had a reoccurring nightmare where I was picking body parts off of me,

they crawled away on their own.

I did have a PTSD incident a few weeks ago, even burried that, just remember I had it for a few days.

I think I did post it here, even that is burried.

On the PD one time we had such a gruesome incident, the chief brought a state shrink for us to talk to.

Some of the kids had a rough time and needed the counseling,

I told the shrink, "been there before" he understood.

I have noticed here in Texas we are having liquor supply issues. There for a while you couldn't get some of the higher end bourbons and scotches. Some of the vodka's as well. Not sure what's going on but somebody better damn well fix it! :bigboss:

Just a side note: The government can't afford for the people to sober up, they may start looking a little too closely at what really is going on in this country.

I have noticed the very same thing. Several times in the last few weeks I have gone in to buy a case or two of my staple bourbon and set it aside in the pantry. Each time lucky to get a single bottle. Shelves are half bare, some brands simply out of stock.

As a Cono-Sewer of Bourbon, I'm here to tell you that, while I haven't had American Honey in a while, that there is a time and a place for it! Usually, a cold winters nite by the fire-pit! I usually drank it by adding an ounce of American Honey to about 4 ounces of Maker's Mark. It was way to sweet by itself but it sure warms the soul if memory serves!

Enjoy!!

So we recently got a Costco membership and I have been sampling some of the Kirkland brand alcohol they have a lot of cop cat stuff of name brands and honestly for the $25 half gallon prices I am impressed.
So far
Vodka
Tequila
Tennessee whiskey
Gin.
I am going to pick up a few more to try but so far as mass quantity mixer stuff and garage supply I am happy.
The latest was the Tennessee and it's really not bad straight and just fine mixed. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230219/b2d7bb6b0b1e3e7747af523c6c5408ef.jpg

With the state government having a monopoly on liquor sales in Oregon, I won't be able to try these bargains at my local Costco. It's always exotic to me when I go to another state and one can buy whiskey at a corner bodega or a grocery store. Imagine that.

Better keep going on the healing.

My brother had a daily diet of a fifth of whiskey and a case of beer.

The coroner said that that is what killed him outright.

He was in his 50s.

Yes, true, moderation.

In his case however his intent was to kill himself, he made it known beforehand.

He had a drinking problem for 30 years running, mother covered for him.

Everything went to hell with him after she died, a true momma's boy.

The guy pissed away much of our grandmothers fortune on booze,

broads and two, month long trips to Hawaii, and one to Nippon.

That fortune was to be split three ways after her passing.

It took five years to get some of it that he missed from the state treasurers office, turned over by the banks.

A bottle of whiskey a day + a case of beer... I thought I was a boozer, but I couldn't survive even a day of that. My brother is a little like that: the only guy I ever saw grab a shopping cart in the liquor store and fill it yegods. As a physicist and engineer, he had a big part in building about half the American satellites currently in orbit... so think about that when your service seems sketchy. I go through about a bottle a week (still disapproved of by my doc, but F him), no beer supplementation though. For the rheumatiz' you understand LOL. On the nights I do drink, I never drink before 7 p.m., which longstanding rule has likely kept me off bowery row. Gets me tuned up just in time to post my inane drivel here though.

Personally I have a ton of the stuff stored and I don't touch the stuff, the other two drank my share.

AS said he did it to kill himself, it worked.

I am the only one in the family who did not drink at all, never have, all the others are dead today but one brother, the doctor.

Never did much Scotch sampling so off we go.
I Like J&B and this Dewars is very close to that flavor wise price is about $25 so little more money than J&B I think on a rock this one has a better finish.
Any scotch drinkers give me some suggestions to try besides the norm like Johnnyhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230304/c18fec31202ce2d38b789400c5a2c8bb.jpg

I have heard from many people over the years that Scotch is an acquired taste. After having tried it many times and in many price categories, they are right. Never cared for Scotch at any price.

My little brother loves the scotch, so I end up drinking some every couple of years when I see him. He loves the peat monsters, which taste like smokey swamp water to me. The only one I remotely like is a 21 year old Balvini... and at around $300 a bottle or so, I think I'll stick to bourbon.

Scotch goes surprisingly good with milk as some of us learned by hanging out with cute democrat ladies of the evening in big towns over the years. Im currently sipping on my soon to be patented version of Scottish Cream over ice. Also good in hot coffee in the early morning.
2 cans evaporated milk
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 pint Scotch Whiskey (Clan McGregor is cheap and tasty)
4 or five cup strong black coffee
4 tablespoons Nestles Quick
1 teaspoon each vanilla and almond extract.

Mix it up and drink it. Keep refrigererated

A good reflux still works great, be aware that if you buy one like from amazon or eBay the feds get alerted to the purchase.

You Will be given a visit from the bATFags!

Temperature is critical in bringing out just ethanol.

You need to make up a bunch of essential oils as a cover story, fuck up and go to jail.

I have a still for processing water, only test ran it.

It is homemade from an old copper water heater of 1900's vintage.

The space below the pot will take wood for heating, a propane burner and a USGI oven gasoline burner.

I could make ethanol post SHTF if ever needed for medical use, remember, I don't drink and neither does my kid.

Have plenty of sugar and yeast on hand for starters.

Plenty of corn fields on this road for use if the need to.

Have a grinder for the corn too.

There is a brewery/stiller up the road and he makes a kick ass black pepper fermented garlic gin that makes a good shooter or the best bloody marry. So Hawg an I experimented with a few gins and also replicating his pepper garlic gin and pretty much nailed it. So I went a step further and did it with Vodka and moonshine. Nailed it.

No drinking for me for a couple of days. I was out working in the yard yesterday with all the pollen and dust and when I blew my nose to get all that crap out I broke a blood vessel. Couldn't get it to stop so MG got me to the ER. (Yes, she got to drive my truck.) Spent half the night. They got it stopped by essentially sticking what I am calling a telephone pole up my nose. (NOT FUN!) So, I got to ease up on everything for a few days till the vessel heals. Then I get to have the telephone pole pulled back out of my nose. I am guessing that's not going to be fun either. I'll be ready for a drink by then.

Prior to meeting MG, I'd bet you would have just rubbed dirt in it to stop the bleeding and had a drink, right?

All kidding aside, hope everything works out ok, and might need to find out why it broke, 3 inches behind your nose is your melon, don't want to have a stroke from blowing your nose or any nonsense like that.

PO is the master of understatement. There's still blood all over the house; after 30 min of gushing I called for an ambulance, they worked on him here for an hour, then loaded him up. I followed in his truck - which was a real trick at 11pm, having never driven it before (dayum there's a lot of tricks, push button to start? wtf is that??) and I dont drive at night anymore, pitch black country roads... What could possibly go wrong. LOLOL It all worked out though - and I got him home safe. He already wants to get up and get at it but that's not going to happen. I don't think he realized how effective I am when I say "Get your ASS back in that chair!!" Whatta guy!! :lovers:

Assess the Health Care situation. Hospitals, ER's Urgent Care, Maintenance Care, Paramedics/Fire Dept. etc

About 7 years ago I had an accident. Long story, but it involved a torn liver, a skidloader, and a ladder. Thought I was tough, livers are painful. I spent about 50 minutes, finishing chores, drank a couple beers. By the time I made it I the house I couldn't hardly stand straight. T-Woman wanted to take me to the ER, I says no way, cracked a cold one. About an hour later, I conceded, went to immediate care. They said if my liver is tore, its gonna hurt. If it was ruptured, I would be dead in a few hours. So off to the ER I went in an ambulance, instead of just driving there. Ended up being fine, just purple from my armpit to below my beltline, but eh. Missed 1 day of work.

Lesson to be learned, we need to listen to our wimmin more, they keep us alive... :thumb:

Back in high school, many moons ago, I got jumped at a party by 10 guys. I held my own pretty good all things considered but luckily this one football player jumped in and helped. It was me and him back to back whoopin' ass. Long story short my nose was broke and there was blood going everywhere. So much so that my girlfriend (the one that got me into the fight) fainted. With a broken bloody nose I picked her up over my shoulder and carried her two blocks home. Needless to say I ended up having surgery because it was broken but I also got a blood clot in my sinus passage. They cauterized it and stuffed about 40 feet of gauze in both nostrils. To this day I can't breath right. I even have to have one of those CPAP things so HN can sleep next to me. The scaring shrunk my nasal passages. I'm sure they have gotten better at it over the last 40 years but make sure you know your doctor knows what he is doing or you will be doomed to a life of not being able to breath correctly.
